Committees

The Academic Life Committee - this committee suggests policy to the Faculty Committee in all areas of the academic program.  This committee also oversees concern that deal with the Bruening-Marrotta Library.  Faculty department chairpersons and elected representatives of the student body, representing all three degree programs, and the Academic Dean comprise this committee.

The Global Awareness and Interfaith Committee - concern for the high number of persons of the various Hispanic cultures residing within the Diocese of Cleveland prompts the seminary to continually address ways of providing for their pastoral care.  Seminarians participate in various programs of immersion and inculturation at select sites across the world and with one of the mission teams at the Diocesan Missions in El Salvador.  Seminarians also attend a yearly Jewish-Catholic Colloquium and participate in the annual week of Christian Unity by attending special seminary events.  To learn more click here.

The Spiritual-Liturgical Life Committee - this committee recommends policy to the Faculty Committee in matters relating to the spiritual and liturgical life of the seminary.  The committee's membership is composed of representatives of both the faculty and the student body, specifically, including the Director of Liturgy and the Spiritual Director.

The Social Concerns Committee - the goal of this committee is to serve the community of St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in integrating its response to social justice concerns.  Composed of representatives of both the faculty and student body, the committee recommends policy modifications to the Faculty Committee.
