Father Moloney’s book,  “Love in the Gospel of John: An Exegetical, Theological, and Literary Study” is available for pre-order and is expected to be released on November 19, 2013. Published by Baker Academic, Inc.

Rev. Francis Moloney, SDB, of the Catholic University of Australia, comes with a rich background of teaching Scripture at Rome’s Pontifical Biblical Institute, the Ecole Biblique in Jerusalem, and the Catholic University of America, among other places. An associate editor of The Catholic Biblical Quarterly, Fr. Moloney has authored 50 books and hundreds of articles.  With Licentiate degrees in theology and Scripture from Rome, and a doctorate from Oxford University (1976), Father Moloney has established himself as a leading authority on many biblical topics, especially the Gospel of Mark and the Gospel of John.  Fr. Moloney was elected as president of the Catholic Biblical Association in 2001, the first non-U.S. citizen to serve in that capacity.  His publications include volume 4 of the Sacra Pagina series on the Gospel of John (1998), and The Gospel of Mark, A Commentary (2002) as well as the forthcoming No Greater Love:  A Study of the Love Theme in the Gospel of John (2014) and The Resurrection of the Messiah:  A Narrative Commentary on the Resurrection Accounts of the Four Gospels (2014).  He has also edited and completed Fr. Raymond Brown’s posthumous Introduction to the Gospel of John (2003).
